Medical Study Puts Peyronie’s Sufferers Straight
Nottingham, England, April 30th 2008A new piece of research by sexual health specialists at Bristol Royal Infirmary has uncovered a proven cure for one of the most embarrassing conditions affecting mens’ sexual health: the bent penis. In the study, led by urologist Wendy Hurn, modern traction-based penis extenders were shown to be highly effective in both straightening and lengthening the penis. A common problemBends in the male organ have many causes. One of the most common complaints, ?Peyronie’s disease’, is caused by a build-up of plaque on the shaft of the penis which leads to both penile retraction and a heavy curvature. One study has found that up to one percent of the UK male population suffers from Peyronie’s. Other causes of curvature include ?urethral stricture,’ which is an abnormal narrowing of the urethra, ?Hypospadias’, which is an inherited problem with the urinary opening, and injury to the penis. All can cause pain and discomfort, leading to a lower quality sex life and in turn, low self-esteem and even depression. Many men are also embarrassed by the appearance of their penis, which again leads to low confidence. Straighten and extendAlthough some Peyronie’s sufferers do turn to surgery, Hurn’s study has given clinical backing to a less intrusive and less costly alternative: the penis extender. Extenders such as the SizeGenetics systems work by gently applying traction to the penis over long periods of time, resulting in a longer and straighter member. According to the study, the method is “effective in Peyronie's disease treatment, especially at the stage of severe penile retraction”. The device was found to produce no adverse effects on test subjects. Safe and discreet treatmentThe findings offer hope to thousands of people suffering from Peyronie’s and related conditions. The study is also a boost to the growing male enhancement industry, which is gaining respect as more studies show support for high quality enlargement systems. SizeGenetics’ product manager Paul Bryant said: “Studies like this are helping men find a safe and discreet cure for a very common problem, and we are thrilled that our product is able to make real change in people’s lives.” About SizeGenetics.comEstablished in 2004, SizeGenetics™ has established itself as one of the leading manufacturers of penis enlargement devices.
