Why a Bigger Penis Means Better Sex

It’s often reported that men worry much more about penis size than women. But when a woman says that size doesn’t matter, how much does she mean it? Small may be ok, but that doesn’t necessarily mean bigger isn’t better...

We all know that men and women have different ideas about penis size. While many men worry that their manhood is not big enough, the official stance from most women is that "hey, it’s ok – it’s not the size that matters but what you do with it that really counts".

There is certainly a degree of truth in this sentiment, which is held (or clung to) by owners of small penises the world over. But not all women are so keen to reassure guys that they have nothing to worry about. For some, there is just no hiding the fact that a bigger penis means better sex.

Dick Testing

Tamara Moon, a 28-year-old writer on the sex industry, has put many hours of hands-on research into finding out how to achieve great sex. She writes about sexual health for a number of magazines and her own research has included “testing” penises of all different shapes and sizes. She is one of few women within her industry that will openly admit that size does matter.

Tamara says: "I'm not one of these man-eating types, who insist that nothing less than an 8-inch dick will give them an orgasm."

"I know that having an average-sized dick isn’t absolutely the end of the world. But I don’t see the point of hiding from the fact that bigger penises mean better sex."

And now for the science

The mechanics of sex itself suggest that this is indeed the case. Penises with more girth (i.e. with a thicker shaft) cause more stretching of the vaginal walls near the entrance to the vagina. This area is home to most of the nerve-endings that need to be stimulated to produce sexual pleasure. A thicker penis is able to stimulate more of these nerve-endings, and so is an advantage during sex.

Length is also important, for a number of reasons. A longer penis can stimulate the vagina more easily, in the same way that a thicker member can. On the other side of the coin, having a shorter dick can affect a man’s confidence and as a result, hamper his sexual performance.

A Simple Choice

So how important is penis size really? Tamara says: “I’m not out to make fun of guys with ordinary or smaller than average dicks. Some couples claim to have a good sex life, even when the man’s penis is very short.

"But when it comes to the crunch, no woman would choose a small dick over a big one."
