Adverts for penis pills, which often come in the form of junk e-mail and Internet pop-ups, will often feature doctors and porn stars and promise gains of up to three inches after a 30-day course. Throw in a money-back guarantee and, if you’re desperate enough for a bigger dick, they might sound like an offer too good to pass up.

On finding out that the pills they bought don’t work, most customers probably shrug their shoulders and realise that they should’ve known better. But recently several men in the US have decided to take action, by suing penis pill manufacturers for false advertising.

One man from New Jersey, USA, paid $59.95 for a 3-day course or pills that were “guaranteed to deliver results within a week”. When the pills didn’t work, the man was unable to claim his refund. Instead of simply putting it down to experience, he took action.

Two other similar lawsuits have been filed in Florida and Ohio. The disgruntled customers said the adverts were “very, very convincing” and were apparently shocked when they achieved no increase in size.

It remains to be seen how these lawsuits will turn out. But it seems that customers duped into buying penis “enlargement” pills are now longer willing to quietly take their medicine.
